5. Obscure- This game was for some reason was never given it’s due for taking a horror movie theme and doing well in porting it over to a game. You can play as any of main characters (male AND female) and try to survive the night. Rife with typical horror movie stereotypes such as the ‘run and stumble’ and ‘damn she’s running to slow!’ this one is sure to have guests in an uproar as you all take turns trying to navigate your way through the highschool and not get all of your characters killed. And much like the movies..when your friends are dead, they STAY dead. This one should be a bargain in the original Xbox bin or order it right here on Gameinatrix.com! Can you say overnight shipping or Gamefly?

4. Ghostbuster:The Game- Yes we know this one gets mixed reviews from critics, but it is good for a few screams. Unlike it’s movie counterparts, the game is a bit darker in it’s presentation and the graphics aren’t hard on the eyes either. If nothing else it’s good for a nostalgic trip down memory lane and should leave you with some nice warm fuzzies, if not quaking in minor fear.

3. Resident Evil for Wii-If you’ve never played Resident Evil on the Wii, Halloween is the perfect time to give it a go. Playing it for the Wii, moves it from standard buttom masher to ‘Omg-they-are-coming-back-up-and-I-can’t-remember-how-to-load-my-gun!!’ status. Just don’t blame us for your sore arms and hoarse throat the next day. Oh, stop bitching, at least your arms will be toned by Thanksgiving.

2. Where the Wild Things Are-We recommend this for those of you having mixed adult kiddie parties. It’s just dark enough to be a little ominous but still not scary enough to keep Next Gen Girl Gamers up with nightmares.

1. Left For Dead- (On the hardest level) Yes you saw this one coming but who cares. Left For Dead is what’s Haute in Zombie games this season. Turn the lights down, get the popcorn and huddle close girls. It’s time for the Zombie Apocalypse. If you’re lucky enough to have surround sound and an HD TV this one is sure to gather a shuddering, screaming crowd around the TV. After that it’s all you. Need a tip? Aim for the head and RUN!!!
