I’m a big fan of SecondLife, some might even say addict. Recently it’s been much worse. Why? I discovered Assassin’s Grid. I’m in heaven. It combines everything that I love about gaming in one place. I get to farm materials, craft items, carry around a big stick to smack people with and I get to WTF PWN people! Oh yes, I’m in heaven.

Assassin’s Grid is the brain child of Akaesha Revnik, she felt that exploration of SecondLife was drying up and to renew interest in exploration of SL she created Assassin’s Grid. Assassin's Grid is a post apocalyptic world in ruin, anarchy runs amok and you must battle others to claim land and climb the leader boards. Gather from your own land or steal from other players lands. Just beware, anyone could be a fellow player just waiting to assassinate you. Who to trust? You never know. Any where in SL is fair game; you don’t have to actually own the sim to claim it in AG.

While you should probably monitor where you hold your battles as to not draw the ire of the Sim owner, it’s pretty much a free for all. May the best man or woman win. Build siege towers to protect your claims or attack others land to make it your own. Best of all it’s free! The whole thing, free.

I’ve got your attention now? Want to know how to get started? Well I’ve got your hook up. Assassin’s Grid is a post apocalyptic RPG/FPS hybrid. You can get your game on at their head quarters in Nu Karne, pick up your welcome pack and if you’ve got some linden to throw about there are some pretty sweet advanced weapons you can pick up.

There are 3 different factions to choose from; the assassin, deathstalker and slayer. Each have unique fighting abilities and stats. Don’t feel like you are ready to choose a faction? Become a renegade and become a much sought after merchant. You don’t get the fighting abilities of the other 3 factions but you do gather materials faster which can help you to get in an area, get your materials and get out before you get ganked.

Tired of the PvP, grab some friends and summon a game boss. It will take team work to tame it but with the right group and a little bit of luck you can spank that boss all the way back to Nu Karne. Craft items to defend your land, band with others to form teams to protect what you own and maybe take some that you don’t. Assassin’s Grid has it all.
