The Top 5 Bad-assed Movie Bitches That Should Have Their Own Video Game Featured

With the pending release of the latest chic action flick Colombiana, we began wondering why none of our favorite big screen action chics had their own video game.

It’s become common place that when a new movie is released, a new game follows.More often than not the games suck, but we give the developer kudos for trying. Still our belief is that some developers (and movie directors) have missed out on telling some really great stories with some of our favorite movie vixens. And we don’t mean just re-hashing what’s on the screen but creating a whole new IP ala Lara Croft, or instead of using the movie as a re-boot, developers should perhaps pitch that a video game character never gets old, and can always do those over the top stunts.Add to them a great story and you’ve got the makings of the gaming equivalent of Harry Potter. We’ve picked out our favorite candidates for future video game vixens who would surely tear up the virtual screen, if given their own game (Don't forget to scroll down to the bottom to see them in action):

  1. Lena Olin aka Mona Demarkov in Romeo is Bleeding - Some of you are saying “Mona-who?” and if you just googled it, you thought, “Wow that’s an old movie.”We should tell you that long before Angelia Jolie graced the screen as Lara Croft, showing that a woman could in fact pull off an action movie, Lena aka Mona, showed us just how beautifully vicious a woman could be.Though the movie is not about her, we’d love to know more of her back story.Or even play as her.Being the anti-hero is now common place in some video games, so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to do a video game re-boot with Mona as the star. Call it an interactive prequel if you will. Besides that, Mona’s maniacal laughter as she gets Gary Oldman’s character all choked up is so delicious, even Dr. Evil of Austin Powers’s fame would be impressed.

  2. Carrie Ann Moss aka Trinity in The Matrix- Every possible story regarding Neo has been told. The writers even gave us a so so video game starring another of our femme fatale favs, Jada Pinkett-Smith.We got some of her back story and though we adore her, we’d have liked to have seen how exactly Trinity got out of the Matrix. How did Morpheus find her? Where does she get those cool leather outfits?!While the comics do share the back story of several other movie characters, including Morpheus himself, Trinity’s story is missing and we bet it’s a gooood one.Besides, any chic that can crack the IRS D-base has gotta be epic and definitely deserves a game.
  3. Geena Davis aka Charlie Baltimore in The Long Kiss Goodnight-The “forgetful spy” premise has been rehashed over and over since the release of this movie, with even The Bourne Identity following suit. But where Jason Bourne got his own game, Ms. Baltimore did not.Though the movie was released long before it was popular to make movie video games, we feel that developers are missing a prime opportunity to build a franchise based on the exploits of Ms. Baltimore.Another candidate for anti-heroine, we would love to see how she came to be the stone cold assassin that was only hinted at in the movie. The perfect allegory for women being able to do it all (mother/assassin) she would be the absolute perfect new character for a video game and one sure to garner the attention of mom gamers as well as their pre-motherhood counterparts.
  4. Cameron, Lucy and Drew aka Charlie’s Angels in Charlie’s Angels- Some crazy developers decided to release a game when the movie was released years ago and it can only be marked as the most epic of failures. It seems as though they didn’t take the ass-kickery in the movie seriously. While the 2nd movie is seriously lacking, the first one was fantastic (Drew Barrymore’s fight scene set to Blur’s song 2 is awesome sauce) and definitely deserves a second shot at being a game. Now before you go to the cheesy aspects of it, keep in mind, there are guys out there that watch movies like Predator, which is so cheesy we need a napkin to watch it, and it’s considered a classic. Doing it with a serious back story, and maybe as an RPG could be just what the Angel’s need to put them back in Charlie’s (and our) good graces.
  5. Zoe Saldana aka Cataleya Restrepo in Colombiana- though this movie has yet to grace the big screen, we have to wonder, where is the game? This is the perfect chance for developers to jump in and make a game that continues the story thereby ensuring possible sequels.Though the movie is not getting the greatest reviews, they aren’t horrible, which means a game is totally feasible. This one could even add some Wii/Kinect/Move support allowing us girls to get in some exercise while kicking ass.

    Bonus Players

  6. Saoirse Ronan aka Hanna in Hanna- Sixteen, gorgeous, a mysterious past, oh and of course deadly. Those sound like all the perfect elements of a good game to us. So why haven’t developers jumped on this? Perhaps too busy creating yet another Halo knock off.Hanna is just sweet enough to touch your heart and just vicious enough to make you cringe.Do we need to point out that there is a prequel here just begging to be made?
  7. Chloe Grace Moretz aka Mindy Macready / Hit-Girl in Kick Ass – If ever there was a movie character that needed to have her own game, this was one.If you ask anyone if they’ve seen the movie Kick Ass, Hit Girl is without a doubt the most memorable character. Not just because she has the foulest mouth we’ve seen since…ever, but because she does indeed kick a lot of ass. For those of us who are the regular geek variety, not comic book geeks, it would be great to know how the mini-femme-fatale became Hit Girl and get to perform a few of what would surely become her signature moves.Wanna play?
  8. Uma Thurman aka Beatrix Kiddo aka The Bride in Kill Bill – The argument has been that W.E.T. is a direct knock off of Kill Bill. The ending notwithstanding, W.E.T. is a beautiful homage to Kill Bill but we’d surely love the real thing.A visit to the Q man himself would most likely yield some tidbits that didn’t make it into the final script and would be excellent for a video game.Hell even a continuation of the story would be great.Remember what she said to Nikkia in the kitchen? “If you’re still sore about it…when you’re 18...I’ll be waitin’ “.So are we. Now wiggle your big toe.
