Just like the PC version it is your job to take direct your lowly subjects in keeping the kingdom safe from various enemies. The iPad version sadly doesn’t have a lot of the bite that the PC version has in that the enemies don’t present much in the way of a challenge. Also missing from the line up are the dragons which were the most ferocious of foes in the PC version. The most obvious reason for this is that the iPad simply doesn’t possess the processing power of a PC.
While essentially the Majesty game play and premise are the same as the PC version, the iPad version has its own quirks and updates that truly makes it unique.Much like the PC version you’ll start off with minimal resources and a mission or two to complete around the kingdom.Where it differs from the PC version is that while there is a bit of leeway to gathering whatever resources you have, in the form of soldiers, wizards and such, there is almost none on the iPad version. You’ll almost always find you have a very formulaic pattern to follow to complete the task at hand and not much of a challenge at some points in the game.Still it’s far from a lot of the dribble you find masquerading as RTSes.Not a bad game to play to pass some time, but Majesty 2 is only slightly majestic.
