When I first saw this title come across my desk and read the description, I thought it sounded fun! I’m a slacker from way back before the term was made popular. And the game is fun… for a while. You are the lowly office worker bored out of your mind and trying to get through another monotonous day of work. You, of course sneak a peek at twitter and your favorite game sites to get you through the day.Just make sure the boss doesn’t catch you or you’ll get the mother of all smacks the back of the head.
The games graphics are charmingly simplistic and rather genius. Using colored stick figures, certainly makes it easier for the player in that the stick figure could be either male or female.Or to be a stickler for details we could say female stick figures normally have a triangle dress, just saying. But I’ll let it slide this time.
While this game is interesting to play in short bursts, I was especially enthralled by it.You wait until you see a boss walking by, easily identified by his hat and briefcase and you click the button to go back to working. You can purchase items via micro-transactions on the app store to make your character immune to boss attack, but the game is so beyond easy, there is no reason to do so.Other than filling up your characters happiness meter by slacking, there were no merits to the game, no rewards.I suppose the game is good for slacking doing lunch time, but not much else. iSlack had the potential to be a great game, but it is almost like the developer was slacking when making the game and decided to leave out some key elements that would have made it more fun to play. <yawn> Either way it’s available for DL on the app store now for all you slackers out there.
