How safe if your Facebook account? You’ve heard all the warnings about not sharing personal information, etc.So how DO you protect your account when you believe it to be hacked? We hear you out there, cancel the account, right? That’s the sane thing to do.The only problem with that is it doesn’t always work.
Last week Cori “Gameinatrix” Roberts and Brandee “Dangerdoll” Adams noticed a strange thing happening on Facebook.A previously believed to be cancelled account, was never cancelled. It was in fact, in use…heavy use. At first, it was believed that perhaps someone with the same name had simply opened an account.Roberts, who had never removed the old FB ID from her friends list, had long noticed the excessive Vampire Wars status updates and simply thought Adams had succumb to the FB game craze. After some further investigation it was discovered that several of Adams’ friends’ comments from days past remained on notes and blog entries. Roberts even sent a private message to the old account and got no response. Adams immediately contacted FB again regarding the account. Their response? To reset the password on her NEW account. The question remains as to if this person has any of Adams personal information, photos and private messages
Meanwhile the doppelganger and her 3k plus friends continue their attempt to be the top clan in Vampire Wars. Our advice to you? Be afraid, be very afraid.
