That’s right girls; I seem to have the corner on the market of super hot men in Second Life. Meet Nixon Austrone, best friend and often source of endless amusement. Can’t take him anywhere without at least half the women on the sim making a run at him. Most awkward flirt you’ll ever meet. Look him up sometime, he is single!
On to the clothes and poses! Today I want to talk about setting up the scene. I have a love hate relationship with photo booths. I enjoy actual sims where I can rez my animations to use along with the environment. I knew what I wanted these pics to look like. I knew the vibe I was getting from the outfit. Thankfully, I know plenty of dirty dark places to get the job done.
I wanted something powerful, something slightly heady with the scent of sex or sexual frustration and I wanted it to be violent. Seeing a pattern here? Gin might be a bit warped but that’s fine, gives me plenty of ideas for pics. I had a lot of these poses from a place that specializes in sex and bdsm poses. Don’t judge! I found them on hunts. I love me some hunts.
Setting up the pictures weren’t hard. I chose this wall because it was light enough to allow the clothing to stand out but dark enough to still fit my “dirty” scheme. It was dark in this room but with the help of wind lights I was able to brighten it up for photos. I chose the angles to face away from the open store front on the other side. If you could see behind the camera you’d find a girl in pink that is a friend guarding the door for me.
I am still learning to use DOF which gives some of these pics the nice distance blur effect but I’m not a pro. I love the way Nixon’s face is the focus in some of these and in others he’s just the shadow, the threat. All in all, if you feel it, then snap it. Save the photos to your Hard Drive instead of to your SL so you don’t waste $L on bad pics. You can always upload the good ones later.
